Slight Chance of Severe Weather; Mostly Rain

in Weather

NOAA has issued a slight chance for severe weather, over the next 3 days, but models indicate a better chance for flooding.

Over the next 48 hours, NOAA says there could be a slight chance for severe weather in east Louisiana, but the chance is less than 15%. Threats from tornadoes are also low, as NOAA says there is a maximum of 5% chance, for southern Texas, today.

Models indicate the real threat could come from the rainfall, predicted to be as much as 6 inches for some parts of east Louisiana and in excess of 7 inches for central Texas, over the next 48 hours. As always, we advise that you have a plan of action in place, before disaster strikes. Don't wait until you are standing in flood water to figure out what you're going to do.
